High Times

Yesterday, we got back from an amazing 4 day jeep tour around Salar Uyuni.  I have never seen so much salt in all my life.  The salt flats cover an area of over 12500 square kilometers at an alititude of 12000 feet (the largest and highest in the world).  It is white as far as the eye can see and if you take off your sunglasses, you are nearly blinded.  We took a few fun pictures and explored a cactus infested small island in the middle of the salt flats where a german guy married a Bolivian woman.  We also climbed a ways up a volcano, saw Incan mummies, played basketball at 14000 feet (after a couple minutes we could no longer breathe), spent the night at a couple of nice small towns, jeeped into the mountains (reaching a height of 16300 feet), and saw many awesome sights which well, you can see the pictures (when we find better computers).  Tonight we go to the highest city in the world…good times.  This is a very abbreviated version of our jeep trip of course because I don`t feel inspired enough to write more right now.  Also, yesterday night as were waiting for dinner, I heard somebody calling my name.  I looked up to see Trisha!  It was so random running into her in Uyuni, Bolivia of all places.  Anyways, hope everybody is doing great!
